he Union Christian School was opened on 18th June 1979. It is recognized as a Matriculation Higher Secondary School by the Government of Tamilnadu. It is a co-education and an English Medium School. The school aims to strike a balance between both academic and co-curricular activities. The school provides interesting learning activities in the class room and outside and helps each pupil to develop his / her ability to the fullest extent possible and hence the number in each section is limited to about 45 students.

The College from its inception provided a training ground for formal and informal relations between Staff and Students through study, cultural activities, debates, games and religious observance. At present, the College has a strength of around 3224 students and 180 Faculty members and is a government aided minority institution.
