Dr.MGR-Janaki College was founded in the year 1996 under the aegis of Mrs. Janaki Ramachandran, who wished to start a college to pay a tribute to her husband Late Bharat Ratna Dr. M.G. Ramachandran, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.Under the dedicated leadership of our Founder Correspondent Dr.Latha Rajendran and Founder Late Mr.M.Rajendran the college grew from its humble beginnings to become a premier institution producing rank holders in multidisciplines. A special mention shall be made about the initiative by TCS titled ‘ Employabilty Training Programme’ for the second year in succession, as part of their CSR activities. They provided 80 hours training in English communication and Corporate etiquette to the SC/ST students, free of cost. At the end of the training they were tested and in the first round 30 students were given offer letters for jobs in TCS. Two trainers were engaged by TCS for the job -
